So what were the analysts expecting?  Other than "designer" treatment of the headlights & taillights you could have sketched the Y on a scratchpad as soon as they said it was going to be a "crossover SUV."   All of 'em look alike, regardless of the brand and have for a few years now.

Yeah, I actually suspect this one will end up selling a well if they can wrap up production.  I am seeing the model 3 everywhere in the Bay Area.

>look alike

This is the problem with all cars in the US - they all look alike (read both bland and ugly)  nothing has any personality.

In the UK, most are silver, black or white too. (total 60%)

A red Jag or fiesta stands out.

plenty of Teslas at Lucys school, when I first saw one, I thought it was a ford with a funny badge.

A Maserati... now that stands out :) Think Italian Mustang.

The incentives just ran out... it will be interesting to see how that plays into thing. A Berkeley friend bought a model 3 at 11pm the night the incentives ended.

That's a good point; whether Tesla survives or not it has changed the auto industry.

Yes, I think it will sell really well.  The 13 State only availability will hold it back some, especially if Kia dealers outside the 13 states are not going to be trained to service it.
