So, Trump has publicly turned to Google for help.

And the public has turned to Amazon as their supply lifeline.

Big tech may be more savior than devil.

This is a good point.  The big tech companies have the infrastructure to keep functioning during this pandemic.  Amazon and Google are particularly well suited to handle remote access to products and information.

On a personal note, I'm still able to do much of my work as usual so far.

During normal times we only have a couple dozen remote workers but now all office workers are working remote. With our video conferencing tools, VPNs, Slack, etc. the company is fairly well suited for people to work at home so there hasn't been too many hiccups as of yet. Since we have offices spread throughout the country and the world a lot of the work was done in multiple locations already.
