There is no work (very little) in north Wales, so they rely on retirees moving in to buy property, or holiday lets to being in holiday makers, who will then spend on parking or meals etc. It a narrow tourist window.

related.. Quite a bit of parking is still free. 

It is a very beautiful coastline, and has so much to offer. A fascinating industrial past eg:
